You're up a ladder when the phone rings. Hellu answers and books the visit.

It asks for the address and the job, finds a free time in your calendar, and gets emergencies to whoever is on call, by phone or by text. In the chat it asks for photos too.

Free to try, and ready in a minute. You keep your own number and email address.

Hansen Plumbing

Customer: Hi, can you come and look at a leaking pipe under the kitchen sink?

Hellu: We can. What's the address, and could you send a photo of the pipe?

Customer: Skovvej 12 in Hørning. Here's the photo.

Hellu: Thanks. I've booked a visit for Tuesday between 8 and 10 and added the photo to the job, so the plumber knows what to bring.

What your customers ask

Answers on its own Passes it to you, with the whole conversation
  • “Can you come and look at a leaking pipe?” Asks for the address and the problem, asks for a photo and books a visit.
  • “What does it cost to replace a radiator?” Answers with your standard prices, or says you'll send a quote.
  • “Do you do bathrooms too?” Answers from what you do.
  • “Do you cover Skanderborg?” Answers from your area.
  • “When are your people coming tomorrow?” Answers from the calendar, or asks you if it doesn't know.
  • “Can you send a quote?” Gathers what you need and passes it on.
  • “Water is coming through the ceiling!” Puts it through to whoever is on call, or texts them after hours.
  • “I'm not happy with the work.” Passes it to the owner with the whole conversation.

Example
Hellu

Hansen Plumbing, this is Sofie. How can I help?

Customer

Water is pouring through the bathroom ceiling!

Hellu

That sounds urgent. What's the address?

Customer

Lindevej 4 in Skanderborg.

Hellu

Thank you. Mikkel is on call. He's getting a text with the address and your number now, so he can call you back.

What you stop doing

Calling back to get the address

When you get back, the job is ready: address, problem, photos and when the customer is home.

Emergencies going to voicemail

During opening hours it puts urgent calls straight through. After hours, whoever is on call gets a text straight away. The rest waits until tomorrow.

Losing jobs in the evening

People call when they get home from work. Now those calls are answered, and the job is waiting in the morning.

Systems it works with today

Hellu books visits into its own calendar or Google Calendar. It isn't connected to your job management system, so the job lands in Hellu with everything filled in, ready to enter.

What it doesn't do

  • Doesn't quote fixed prices for jobs you haven't priced
  • Doesn't promise times you don't have
  • Doesn't let an emergency wait

You pay when it solves something.

A firm where Hellu resolves 60 enquiries a month on its own pays DKK 600 a month on Pay as you go. If it answers your phone, the number and minutes are extra.

Questions

Can it give quotes?

No, it doesn't give quotes itself. It gathers what you need for the quote: the address, the job and photos. If your standard prices are on your website, it can tell customers what they are.

What about emergencies at night?

Outside your opening hours it doesn't put the call through. Instead, whoever is on call gets a text with the name, number and what has happened, so you can call back straight away.

Can it see our calendar?

Yes, if you use Hellu's own calendar or Google Calendar. It then books visits into the times you have free and answers when your people are coming.

What does it do with photos from customers?

It asks for them in the chat and attaches them to the conversation, so you can see the damage before you drive out.

What if it can't answer?

It tells the customer so and doesn't promise anything you haven't written down. It saves the question and passes it on to you, and once you've answered, it knows from then on.
